Professional Experience
Hank Staley, a principal of Woodworth Core Group based in Jacksonville, was responsible for managing CBRE Hotels’ advisory practice in the Southeast until leaving the firm in December 2020 to join R.M. Woodworth & Associates as principal. His focus is on market analysis, valuation, and dispute resolution services. He has over 35 years of consulting experience, has analyzed lodging markets in 46 states, and has studied over 2,500 hotels. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI designation), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), and a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE).

Mr. Staley began his consulting career with Laventhol & Horwath, ultimately progressing to director of the firm’s Atlanta office leisure time industries practice. He later was appointed managing director of the Atlanta office and was responsible for overall management of audit, accounting, income tax, and consulting practices. He subsequently served as a senior vice president with Landauer Associates, Inc., president of Hospitality Analytics, Inc., managing partner of Atlantic Hospitality Advisors, and senior vice president of PKF Consulting USA.

Mr. Staley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia’s J.M. Tull School of Accounting. He has written numerous articles that have been published in trade journals and has been quoted as a hotel expert in many of the nation’s largest newspapers and periodicals. He has spoken at several symposiums and conferences and has taught hospitality consulting courses for an international public accounting firm.
